PhilDHRRA Luzon hosts JaDHRRA and Kobe University Study Tour

 February 2011—Tthirteen Economics students from Kobe University and two professors / representatives of JaDHRRA visited project sites of select PhilDHRRA Luzon’s members to observe the socio-economic situation in the country. The study tour also aims to provide them with overview of poverty alleviation initiatives of civil society groups in the Philippines.

Harvests and Hardships: Analyzing Overseas Migration and Philippine Rural Development

Filipinos’ overseas migration is an important rural development issue. Overseas migration coming from rural Philippines is also an important development agenda for non-government organizations and other socio-economic stakeholders in rural Philippines to provide some interventions.

Rapid assessment on participatory local governance

This study aims to generate basic information from CSOs that are valuable in their efforts to promote participatory governance. In addition, other intended users of this research report are the various LGUs, policymakers, and the DILG, to raise their awareness on the status of participatory local planning in the Philippines.
