Farmers block Congress gates with sugarcane

Quezon City – “Kagalang-galang na mga Kongresista na humaharang sa CARP, kayo po ang pangunahing pumipigil na kaming mga magtutubo ay magkalupa at umahon sa kahirapan. Marami nang nabiyaan ng lupa ang CARP kaya lalong dapat tapusin ang pamamahagi ng lupa!” (Honorable representatives who oppose CARP, you are the main reason why sugar farmers like us remain landless and poor. Many have benefited from CARP so land distribution must be completed!)

The Philippine Partnership for Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (PhilDHRRA) held its 22nd General Assembly on 18 & 19 November 2014 at the Cityscape II Hotel, Cebu City with the theme “Building Resilient Communities through Convergence and Partnerships.”
 

PhilDHRRA Luzon holds its annual Regional Assembly

Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas Luzon Secretariat (PhilDHRRA-Luzon) conducted its annual regional assembly on 28-29 January 2014. The formal assembly was conducted following a forum on the Reinforcing SIAD Approaches: Sharing of Good Practices on the Integration of CCA-DRRM Strategies in Community-Based Resource Management Planning.
